Purpose: 

• To provide a safe and confidential environment for individuals to share their experiences and seek healing. 

• To allow individuals to connect with others who are healing and listen to their experiences.  

• To find hope and healing through trusting in God and our Savior’s Atonement and grace. 

What to expect: 

• Meetings are confidential; none of your information is shared outside of the meeting. 

• Attendees are asked to introduce themselves by their first name only. 

• Newcomers are welcomed and valued at every meeting. 

• Casual dress. 

• Structure of the meeting – meetings function the same way each week at every location. 

• Meetings are led by a group leader and facilitator: 

• The group leader is a service missionary for the church. 

• The facilitator is an individual in recovery and far along in their healing journey. 

• The group leader welcomes the participants and leads the group in reading one of the twelve principles. 

• The facilitator then leads the sharing portion of the meeting. After he/she shares, other participants have the opportunity to share. 

• Those who wish to take a couple minutes and share about their healing journey are welcomed to do share. This usually occurs by going around a circle. Sharing is optional, it is perfectly acceptable to say, “I pass” instead of sharing when it is your turn.
